This used to be the way to get to south Cambridge from Shelford before the Addenbrookes path. It's not entirely pleasant if you're not used to country traffic. People driving do tend to fail to slow, even passing on blind corners, of which this road has many. It does have a reasonably high traffic flow in both directions.
